Much has happened since our last Newsletter, but we are most grateful for Senate's passing of the toughest provision of Jessica's Law, according to which the second offense child predators receive death penalty. Here is what Lt. Gov. David Dewhurst states: "I want to congratulate the Senate Criminal Justice Committee for passing a "Texas tough" version of Jessica's Law to better protect our children from sexual predators. By passing these bills, the committee's action sends a strong message to the monsters who prey on our children: Not in Texas". Lt. Gov. also discussed Jessica's Law on CNN a few days ago. We command him for incredibly important legislative work that he does!
