I am currently workingon an article about devices with GPS that can help parents to keep track oftheir children, but there are non avaiable in Portugal for sale. Therefore, i would like to know if parents in Portugal can buy Giggle BugChild Locator, Gemtek GPS Child, LG Migo and Wherify GPS Locator & Phonevia internet and use them Portugal. And doyou have other devices with GPS for serveillance of children that you could give me information about? I appreciate all the help and time spent with this request.

Best Regards
Liliana Domingues, Journalist

Dear Liliana, thank you for your inquiry. Allow me to express my heartbreak over the little UK girl's disappearace. This is exactly what prompted me to start Invinc-A-Kid in 2006. That is, to try and help parents to find their lost children before anyone else claimed them. Cellphone technology is helpful and we can track the pings, however, we need law enforcement to obtain court order and go through all the legal motions before tracing can be allowed. In the meantime, the battery may run out of charge and hinder the search for the phone. My belief is, if you have to call police, it may be too late already.
The new technology that I advocate, allows parents "ral-time" tracking of their own children and in most cases, quick discovery and safe return of the child. This technology develops fast, and by the end of this year-early next year, we will be able to give parents around the world positive answers to their burning questions. But for now, the only GPS device that will work in Europe is Gemtek, which will also allow a GPS technique called GEOFENCING.
However, RFID devices such as Giggle Bug, Mommy I'm Here and AmberWatch will work pretty much anywhere. I do carry a digital video surveillance, which is a much more affordable, light-weight and flexible alternative to traditional closed-circuit video surveillance. For only $149 anyone can monitor a space, in any country, as long as they have access to internet. In some cases I will be able to supply the demand in Portugal or Europe in general. In other cases, we will have a European distributor that can supply the demand there.
Exposure is what we despeartely lack at this point, and you as a community of reporters and journalists, would play a vital role in dissiminating the great news to parents everywhere. I wish you the best of success with your article and will help you in any way I can.
Anyone who wants to know what's available, can simply visit my store periodically to stay informed or sign up for my monthly Newsletter. I will gladly answer any quesitons you may have.

Aministrator
www.invincakid.com
888-383-0063

prosper-living.com

After many long months of hard work and preparation Prosper-Living is finally ready to be introduced into the community it was created for! I am certainly excited about this and I hope once you check it out you will be too. Along with Discussion Boards you will find Real Time News Feeds, Live Amber Alerts, Weather brought to you by Weather Channel, an Arcade, a Local Events Calendar and so much more. So please stop by and check us out. Registration is free and we could use your support!
Best Regards,
Ross Bishop
Site Administrator

From me, an expert in child abduction prevention technology, please take my 2 cents worth. DO NOT display the Amber Alert ticker on your website. The bad guy who owns Project Safekid, is a money hungry perana (not a Non-Profit), who exploits people for money and owes bunches of moneys to various busienssmen in Texas. Association of your publication with him equals your being crooks just like him to the rest of us. And if so, please unsubscribe me from your list.
Invinc-A-Kid

Actually I am not affiliated with nor do I even know of the person you mentioned below in your response. However, I am under the impression that having the Amber Alert, no matter who provides the source information, is better than not having one at all. Is there any chance you all will provide a live feed? If so I would be more than glad to implement it over the current version. I see your site is developed in PHP Open Source technology so a custom application to give live direct feeds to sites like mine would be as easy as asking for a PHP Modification and free as PHP is Open Source. Keep in mind all I am doing is pulling alerts from his site not sponsoring nor endorsing his company.
I do accept your knowledge of this person's wrong doings even though I have been unable to research your accusations. However, to say I am a crook when all I am doing is providing real time alerts to my members is ridiculous. As I mentioned before I will gladly use a real time feed from a source you deem acceptable if you will provide it.
Best Regards,
Ross Bishop

Actually, when I clicked on it, I was taken to his website where he is asking for DONATIONS and SPONSORSHIPS --- terms used exclusively by NPOs, which he is not ---- to make him rich. You have to be picky about your associations these days, IF you really care about children ( I assume that's your primary reason for putting a ticker up?).
I do realize that if there was an active alert, it would be running across, however, one would still have to click to find out more. If that's the case, why take them to the crook's site that does nothing but sit there collecting moneys off of your naive visitors, making them think he is somehow helping abducted children, which he does not! Why not take them to widely recognized partner's sites, like Invinc-A-Kid, like Team Amber Alert who wrote the book on Amber Alert and does magnificent work bringing children home even from international abductions...
Or even this popular one, check this out! (I have a link to both databases on my website).http://www.amw.com/

Trust me, if I am looking for an authoritive opinion or information on Amber Alerts or any other related topic, I would much sooner go to AMW than come to your site (:-(
Youarejust ripping your visitor off of their hard earned money when they go to Project Safekid site by clicking on the ticker।
Invinc-A-Kid

From: Invinc-A-Kid

AmberWatch set-up is not easy or intuitive. Also, it is to be used in an emergency situation. We teach parents and children that it is not a toy.

From: DL, purchaser of AmberWatch
Sent: June 1, 2007
To: Invinc-A-Kid

I'd always been more focused on telling them to just not go to a stranger, but it is good to tell them that if someone does grab them, to be as noisy as possible and focus as much on what to do if they get in such as situation as the basics of not talking to strangers.. I'm afraid I mainly just scared them telling them about the little girl from the UK.

From: Invinc-A-Kid
Sent: June 2, 2007
To: DL

Children get scared when children lose confidence in whom they love and trust (you). You tell them scary stories and they sense that you are terrified, they will "shrink". But if you tell them scary stories and then confidently add what the solutions are, they will thrive, because they see that you believe there are true alternatives. Tell them:........." but you have great advantages over the little girl from UK:

1. Your parents love you very much and will never leave you without an adult supervision
2. You now have alarms which you can immediately activate and be heard by us or other good adults, before anything happens
3. You know how to put up a good fight, with lots of noise, take as much time as you can, and actually, scare your abductor (yeah, kids will love that-scare the bad guy)! Time is his animy, time is your friend.
4. You now know to never give up hope, never believe a lie about your parents not loving you, and never stop thinking how to escape, or call us / or police, at the first chance you get (or ask an adult to do so).

Be calm, think how to help us help you by letting us know where you are, at all times. You will find a way, unlike the little girl in UK. Show them a couple of escape tapes or tell them about kids who escaped. This teen girl dropped pieces of her clothing, so that kadabra dogs can pick up on her scent, and they did. Her life was spared...

There are many great examples and excape stories. Never leave it on a negative note with kids, no matter how bad your story is. Challenge their minds, let them tell you what they would do, correct them and encourage them to be creative. Knowledge is power, you can do it, we can help!

Invinc-A-Kid

From: DL, purchaser of AmberWatch
Sent: June5, 2007
To: Invinc-A-Kid

Thanks, those are really good tips to tell children.

From: Invinc-A-Kid
Sent: June 1, 2007
To: DL

Teaching kids how to use AmberWatch also gives you a good opportunity to talk to them about this topic in general and express:
1. Never get into anyone's car without Mommy or Daddy telling you to do so.
2. Do not fall for any lures to get you do something inappropriate (you can teach them the lures using the 16 lures by professor Ken Wooden, booklet in our store)
3. Do whatever it takes to resist being taken away: run, yell, drop, roll, push, wrap around the abductor's feet... (see techniques in John Halls' KidEscape DVD series sold in our store). Do everything and anything you can, to take as much time as possible and be as loud as possible to others around you. Don't be shy, give it the absolute all you have.
4. If you are ever taken away, don't fear, don't panic, but calmly think what you can do to escape. Who can help you, who can you call (know your phone numbers!). A little girl escaped by jamming the steering column of the abductor's car, another boy escaped by using a safety pin to untie himself, ect. Be very creative. They use restrooms, they go shop for food-- use the time that they are not watching you, very wisely and creatively. The bottom line is, no matter what anyone says, Mom and Dad love you so very much they will always look for you. Don't ever miss a chance to get help from another Mom with kids, from people in uniform, from clerks in stores - ("safe" people), to call police or to call us using any phone you can get a hold of. Be prepared to give as much information as you can on your location and the person you are with, or be prepared to hand the phone to an adult who can call police (or us) and describe it. Never give up, always be collected and think positive. We want to konw hwere you are at all times so we can help.

NK

GPS Child Locators

From: Brenda K
Sent: May 10, 2007
To: Invinc-A-Kid

I've been following the story of a 3 year old British girl that was kidnapped in Portugal last week. It made me think, if she would have been wearing a piece of jewelry with a GPS tracking device it would have been very easy to find her. I started looking around for some sort of GPS device that can be put on a necklace or ring for my 2 and 4 year old girls to wear. The cell phones with GPS tracking that you offer on your site are great for teens, but I don't see anything with a GPS tracking device for young children (those most vulnerable). Do you have any plans to sell such a product? Does this sort of product even exist? If not, seems like there would be a big demand for it.

Invinc-A-Kid:

1. Gemtek will work for younger children.
2. We do plan on developing GPS that are smaller and do not require knowledge of call phone technology by the child, but only by the parent.

These products are in development and may be included as soon as next year. The problem with the case that you mention is that usually kidnappers will remove the device as soon as they find it. After this happens, we are still at a miss as far as finding the child. But again, now we are installing them inside tennis shoes, what's next? This technology is going to get better, smaller and smarter with time. Please visit our store periodically for more info or sign up for our Newsletter and you will get updates in your mailbox each time we have product news or specials.

From: Lisa C
Sent: May 18, 2007
To: Invinc-A-Kid

Can you tell me does this device work in mainland UK as a GPS tracker providing street address also is it a mobile phone type unit or an armband as I am interested in this device for my toddler?

Invinc-A-Kid:

1. GPS device is not a good fit for a toddler.
2. Wherify does not work outside the US as a GPS, it will work as a child cellphone, which your toddler cannot use.

What I can recommend as a GPS device for you is Gemtek. Its' a communication device, but as he too young to operate it to communicate. However, you can be sure, that for as long as the battery is charged in it, you can locate the child's unit from your cell phone, your internet or by calling a 1-800 number, on an on-line map like Google Earth, or MapQuest.

Kid Trackers: Disspelling the Misconceptions

From: Invinc-A-Kid
Date: 5 May 2007
Subject: Disspelling FOX4 News, by Invinc-A-Kid.

On Thursday, May 03-07 Invinc-A-Kid was featured on KDFW FOX4 News at 9:00.
Here is the link to video. Here is the link to text. And below are the hard facts. The "Kid Trackers" story implies that child locating technology comes with a price. We disagree if only for one reason: what is the pricetag on a loved one's life?

Here are 4 other reasons:

1. GemTek device that helped Mr. Fowler find his 13 y.o. daughter (being assaulted by a predator) and possibly save her life, was said to cost $500 with $50 monthly fee.
* It is only $299 in our store, with first month FREE service and $19.95 monthly fee thereafter. Find it under GPS child locators on www.invincakid.com/catalog.

2. It was not mentioned that we carry now more affordable GPS locators.
* We carry Wherify GPS child cellphone at only $99 with $19.95 monthly plan AND $40 OFF on a 2-year contract.
* If you live in Texas, you may be able to get an LGMigo GPS child cellphone FREE if that's what our supplier happens to be running a special for.

3. I-On-Kids 4-child tracker was named to be $300 or more.
* At InvincaShop it is listed at $189.95 for a "Starter Kit", however, if you wish to monitor more children, each additional wristag is $49.95, still under $250 for 2 kids.

4. Mr. Jeff McKissack is afraid that these devices provide false sense of security, which is "cup half empty".
*Invinc-A-Kid's 3-lifeline approach states that when the technology fails, is lost or taken away, there is still a chance to avoid the unthinkable IF children know how to avoid and escape. We feature the best selection of> >hand-picked, AWARD-WINNING self-defense education media, both for parents and children, including Internet Safety.
*Our disclaimer states that no device is a replacement for good parenting, but only an aid. In our multi-prong approach to prevention of child predator crimes, the street smarts is listed as the first line of deffense.
*What we sell can prevent special need children, elderly and household pets from wandering off or drowning, as a nice extra... Bottom line: what Invinc-A-Kid does claim is that we are a ONE-STOP shop for child ID, child locating devices, family security technology, as well as predator crime prevention awareness & resources for families, World-Wide.Let's be objective in considering the fact that child car seats were around for many years now, to aid children in accidents vs. guarantee that children will survive them. Child locating technology is brand new, yet already it demonstrated crucial capacity for parental prevention or interception of predator crimes, and that is "cup half full"!

Half full? We are optimistic that in the near future:

1. These devices will be replaced by state-of-the-art cheaper species.
2. The cost will go down farther as industry gradually claims larger customer base. I think they shouldn't have blown up the numbers, which discouraged people from ever looking into this (child locating) technology.

From: Jeff

Nor will it deter people who obviously have safety concerns with their children. As we all know, if someone truly wants something, they typically find the money to pay for it :-) My opposing point is actually the MAIN point I always address. You can purchase all the devices in the world, but don't neglect the two MAJOR devices nature has provided us all...our brain and our instinct .

From: Invinc-A_Kid
Subject: Brain or Gadget

True, but Stephen Fowler would not find his daughter no matter how brainy he was. We are at a new age when we don't have to count on our kid's brains and instincts alone. God knows I can't count on my 17 (!) year old to remember what I sent him from point A to point B for. He is extremelly "scattered". Now, I don't know what rush of adrenalin can do to your brain when you are a 13 yo girl being abducted and raped, but I know before a tragedy happens parents NOW can intercept just by finding their child, like Stephen did.

Yes Jeff, I am trying to talk you into believing my multi-level approach. As late as last year, this stuff was not available. Now it is, lets' embrace it at least as the THIRD choice in my "Trinity":

1. What you have to offer - education, first choice.
2. Laws and Justice system to back up by putting the monster (once he was identified), away for 25 to life (by implementing Jessica's Law in every State), and
3. What I have to offer. You can't cover all kids, everywhere, all the time. Neither can I.

The law can, but does it? Don't forget, the GPS trace data that Stephen collected while looking for his daughter, is now a valid evidence admissible to court that will place this guy where he belongs: in jail for 25, as Jessica's Law IS enacted in Florida. So, technology in this case helped us to:

A. Save a child's life
B. "Root out" and identify a molester that could have otherwise go undiscovered for years
C. Provide the jury with evidence to help convict him

I am saying, there are 3 sides to this coin (at least). When a child is paralized with fear, (as I am sure Shawn Hornbeck was), a parent NOW can find the child, like Mr. Fowler did. When a device is lost, count on the kid's smarts. And when both fail, count on the fact that because of the strict laws some pedofiles may not be hatched or the crime may be reduced drastically.

Together, we may be able to bring the sad statistics down a bit, even if each of us could cover the third of the population. (:-)

From: Jeff

I'm not opposed to them, I just don't want them REPLACING what God has given freely. I go back to a serial rapist I and my former boss interviewed years ago in the Missouri State Prison who, when police did a search of his house, found a box in his closet filled with mace, pepper spray, stun guns, whistles and the like. All of these he kept as "trophies" of the women he had raped and assaulted, none of whom were able to deploy these devices on him, but he smiled as he told us how he used it back on the women he disarmed carrying them. My mom is former FBI, brother is Homeland Security, cousin just retired this year after 25 years in Military Intelligence. Also, two former roomies who are cops all chime in with the same advice (mostly of course applied to adults)... a weapon is nothing more than an extension of your body. If you therefore do not know how to properly use your body, the weapon will not do you much good.

I am giving a self-defense seminar along with the XYZ Police Departments the end of this month. Many of the officers I've worked with love working with me due to my approach to this topic. They too know the "horror stories" that are associated with a false sense of security that is not backed up with basic "street smarts" as well as good dose of "common sense/instinct." With the kids, so long as mom and dad have done THEIR JOB in education, I'm all for whatever back-ups they employ to enhance their children's safety.

From: Invinc-A-Kid

You are talking about women and things (of self-defense), I am talking about children and parental control. Your thug could have not removed an AmberWatch or I-On-Kids without setting off the alarm, which he can not turn off , throw away or brake. He can not get rid of the GPS unit even if he finds it. Just how far is he going to throw it? These are not scilent devices of the past, like pepper sprays. These are things out of his reach and control. His friend was time, now time is his animy.

And it's only going to get better Jeff, that's the good news! No one can possibly underestimate the power of intelligence and instinct, no one. But as you yourself stated, they do it anyway. So, what's the catch here, if everyone knows about self-defense and is trained? Why has this crime gotten completely out of hands with kids?

Because the laws were not tough before, now they are getting there. AND there are more ways of identifying and weeding them out, literally, like the Dateline does, like Gregg Abbott's Cyber Division does, or like John Walsh does now too. Hey, if our Mr. Fowler did it, anyone can, with my technology. All I ask is that you do mention this in your lectures and training, always! As an alternative of course. If you don't get a response from parents, you will get it from parents of special need children or caretakers of elderly parents. This is not all about crime and criminals, this is abut more control.

Women? They are your domain. Yours and Jo's at www.predators.tv. Keep up the great work Jeff, I am very proud of knowing you guys! I will help you in any way I can, always!

Invinc-A-Kid
